Estuary Views
Easy to live in. Considered for the future.

The home
A practical brief.
A home with its own character.
Estuary Views was one of two East Street homes commissioned for resale or rental. The brief called for economical construction and a home with broad appeal, sympathetic to the neighbouring designs while retaining its own character. A simple gabled form, open living spaces and a connection to the surroundings bring those priorities together.

The wider East Street story
One home led
to another.
Our East Street involvement began with alterations to an existing home and grew through repeat commissions for new homes within the subdivision. Working with the owners and builder, we considered how each home could have its own character while sitting comfortably alongside its neighbours.

The spaces
Everyday living,
given room to breathe.
The kitchen sits within the shared dining and living area, beneath a sloping ceiling. Glazing and doors connect these spaces with the deck and surrounding outlook. For a home whose future occupants were still to come, the design focuses on useful relationships between rooms, light and outdoor space.

The details
Simple construction.
Thoughtful character.
Timber cladding gives warmth to the straightforward gabled form, while the sheltered deck extends the living space outdoors. The aim was to balance economy with a home people could see themselves living in, with its own identity within the wider East Street project.
